Why this work matters

Gender equality is built through everyday choices and access.

A woman’s options are shaped by food security, skills and information, resources and the chance to influence decisions. In Bomet and beyond, Safina’s community-led work connects these areas so progress can reinforce itself.

Safina’s organizational records describe digital and entrepreneurial skills training for 500 women and sustainable agriculture skills for 200 women. These are recorded activities; the impact page gives more context.

Gender equality · SDG 5

Global goals become meaningful through local agency.

Safina’s women’s empowerment work aligns with the wider goal of gender equality, including Sustainable Development Goal 5. For Safina, that alignment is practical: access to skills, information, food security, technology and opportunities to participate in decisions.

The goal is not to reduce women’s empowerment to a slogan. It is to widen real choices and strengthen the conditions in which women can learn, lead, earn, collaborate and shape community priorities.

Questions and next steps

Start with an honest conversation.

Is Safina recruiting participants now?

This page describes Safina’s work and partnership priorities. It does not announce an open course or guarantee enrolment. Ask the team about current activities and locations.

How can an organization collaborate?

Tell Safina where you work, the community need, the resources or expertise you can contribute, and which pathway fits. Funders, schools, researchers, technologists and local groups can begin with an enquiry.

What should I include in an enquiry?

Share your name, organization if relevant, location, area of interest and a clear question. Safina’s team can then route the message and reply using the details you provide.
