Safina Garden.
Rooted in learning.

We grow food, test what works in Kenya’s conditions, and share what we learn with our community and partners.

The garden record

Every plant.
Every change.

See how each plant is doing, what we have noticed and the care it has received. Anyone can add an observation or a photo, and every change is saved.

A growing place

Food for today.
Knowledge for tomorrow.

Safina Garden brings fruit trees, vegetables, berries and flowers into one practical learning space. Some of what we grow feeds us; the rest helps us learn.

We observe, keep records and share verified lessons—connecting everyday garden care with Safina’s wider food and agriculture work.

What we grow

A garden with room
for many kinds of growth.

From established fruit trees to smaller growing spaces, each crop gives us something to nurture and learn from.

Fruit trees

A mix of mature trees and young plants, cared for as they establish, grow and bear fruit.

Mango · Apple · Orange · Banana · Papaya

Vegetables

Vegetables grown in vertical tyre systems, with carrots forming part of the garden’s wider crop mix.

Flowers & berries

Ornamental flowers and strawberries grow alongside the fruit trees and vegetables.

How we care

Healthy foundations.
Thoughtful attention.

Start with the essentials

Good soil, water and spacing help create the conditions plants need to grow.

Observe before acting

We check plants regularly and use treatments only when they are needed, guided by qualified agricultural advice.

Record, learn and improve

We record what we see and the care each crop receives, so future decisions draw on what we have learned.

Learning as we grow

Progress worth
sharing.

Regular crop checks help us understand what is changing. We record plant health, the problems we observe and the care provided.

We’ll share verified garden updates here as they become available.
