Community-led development, rooted in dignity and possibility.
Safina Development Organization is a Kenyan NGO working with communities to address poverty through ecojustice, women’s empowerment, education, health, food security and technology.
Poverty is connected. So our response must be connected too.
Safina grew from practical community action: tree planting, learning resources, women’s empowerment, agroecology and local training. Those experiences reinforced a simple idea: climate, livelihoods, education, health and technology shape one another.
We work across sectors while keeping communities at the centre of decision-making. Our role is to connect local priorities with knowledge, tools, relationships and resources that communities can use and sustain.
